More Recommendations of Books

It's been a long time since I listed out a list of recommendations. Below are some books I truly enjoyed, if you find my description of the book interesting, you can borrow the book in the library. All of the books below can be found in the library.

The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale
I know I have already recommended this book before but it is such an amazing book that I would like to recommend it once more. It is originally a fairytale from the Brothers of Grimm but Shannon Hale has written it into a breathtaking book about a foreign princess who was betrayed and hid as the goose girl. It may sound "princessy" and childish but trust me, it is an excellent book.

Caddie Woodlawn by Carol Ryrie Brink

This is another exceptional book. Caddie Woodlawn is a very special and unique character. She is a playful tomboy who is troublesome and dispair of how ladylike her mother and sister is. She loves to play with her two brothers and that would always mean trouble. It is very fun reading Caddie Woodlawn.

Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

This is my absolute favorite book. It runs over the line of imagination and is so breath-taking. It tells about a heartless, vain wizard named Howl and a pretty, young girl named Sophie. When an evil witch turned her into an old lady, she went to Howl to see if he can lift her spell. Rumors says that he eats young, pretty ladies, read to find out what happens to Sophie when she enters Howl's moving castle.

Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary
This simple books tells about a boy named Leigh Botts who writes letters to his favorite author almost everyday asking him for help or telling him about his day. If he wants the author to answer his letter ASAP, he would say:
De Liver, De Letter, De Sooner, De Better, De Later, De Letter, the Madder, I Getter!

Howl's Moving Castle

Been reading lately, but it was Winter Break so I watched a lot of movies, I was looking through my disk list when I saw a movie called "Howl's Moving Castle", I remembered how good the movie was so I watched again. I was so inspired as how creative it was, I decided to read the book and magically our amazing library has that book!

I loved it dearly right after I finished the first 3 pages. It's incredibly good and unique in a way that's so....unique! I complimented so much that so much students want to read it so much, I still recommend it! It's a book that deserves to be read by everyone. My dear friend who is reading it right now loves it as much as I do, I hope you would borrow it and read it because it's just extraordinary.

Books I've Read Lately

I have read a lot of different and amazing books lately. "Out of the Dust" and "The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate" are really different but still really good books.
"Out of the Dust" is told using poems but it's good, if I were to mark it out of 10, I would definitely give it a 10. "The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate" is about this girl named Calpurnia Tate who is interested in science, you might think that is normal but for a girl in the 20th century,  definitely not....And don't forget, she is the only girl in her six brothers, imagine the problems that she faces!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series

OMG! It is the best book I've ever read, well, for now it is. I think it is a bit better than Gregor the Overlander, you can imagine how good it is.

When Ms. Stacia recommended this book to me, I was like, "Uh.... Ok... Maybe...." and I thought that it would be soooo boring just like the movie but I was absolutely, incredibly wrong! It is a breath-taking book and I can't describe how much I love it!!!!

It is about a half god, half human boy named Percy. His father is Poseidon so he can control water, not get wet when he just came out from water, breath underwater and cure injury using water. Isn't that cool? Well, he um... his father is one of what they call 'The Big Ones'. The Big Ones include Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, the three main gods. They made an oath to not have more children but Poseidon did and it was Percy. He approach quests and met his best friends, Annabeth (Athena's child) and Grover (stayr).

Have you ever heard or Greek Mythology? Well, it is INCREDIBLE, PHENOMENAL, AWESOME, UNEXPLAINABLE,.... It's so built-up. Oh, sorry... let me tell you what Greek Mythology is. Basically is tells us how the gods and goddesses came to rule and the beginning of life, you might think, "Oh... Another boring story but believe me, when I was in 4th grade, our teacher taught us about this and we all got obssesed with it. REALLY OBSSESSED I tell you. It's out of the world!!!!

You have to read this series because it is so good that I can't even find a word good enough for it, for now, I'll say it's out of the world.

Choosing the Right Book

If you're having a hard time finding a book that you will enjoy, here are some tips to help you!

1. First of all, you should find out what genre do you like most. Each person is different, you might like to read adventure books or fiction books or mystery.

2. Once you know what genre you want to read, for example I'll just say that you like adventure book. You can either ask Ms. Stacia for an outstanding adventure book, use Destiny Quest to find a book from our library or spend some time looking around the library and find a suitable book.

3. Remember: DO NOT judge a book by its cover. The cover doesn't express and tell you what the book is about. Instead, you should flip the book and read the summary, if you like it and think that it is interesting, go check it out!

4. If it is too hard then find another book.

I hope you will be able to find a book that you will like using the steps above!
